Join Caverly for a day-long program at the San Francisco Dharma Collective on Saturday, November 23rd.
In addition to the Saturday program, Caverly will also be offering a Friday evening dharma talk and meditation at SF Dharma Collective on November 22nd from 7:30-9:00pm.
In a progressive path approach to practice, we fall for the idea that liberation is in the future. We are conditioned to believe that we must end thinking, master practices, meditate for years, and purify our minds. Without realizing it, our beliefs maintain the conditioning that stands in the way of our direct realization.
Rather than turning the attention outward to various objects of practice, what changes when we cultivate our effortless capacity to rest the attention in Awareness? What changes as we practice inquiry into the nature of consciousness? And what tends to get in the way?
In this one-day retreat, you will:
Explore progressive path practices that support stabilization of the mind.
Engage in a process of inquiry that allows Awareness to shine at the forefront of experience
Learn to non-judgmentally question what veils our inherent true nature
Be supported to trust the direct recognition of who you actually are
This retreat is a way to deepen practice for the experienced, and also an invitation to those who are new. This retreat includes: guided meditations, journaling, relational mindfulness practices, and group discussion with Caverly.
There will be a one-hour lunch break in the middle of the day.
